New to the area, drove by this place a few time finally had a chance to stop in. So glad we did. We've been to several places in Montague and Whitehall during asparagus season, hands down this is a contender for best in town. The perch definitely holds the gold medal. Stop in say hi so some of the friendliest bartenders. Highly recommended

We went in to Wayside later in the evening just for a drink after dinner and to play pool. Brittany did great as a bartender and the servers that were cleaning up were very nice. We were well taken care of.

I went here last night for the first time with my family (group of 7). Our server was the best server we have had in years!! I didn't catch her name, but someone in our group thought they heard that it was Liv(?) Everyone had a great time and the food was fantastic! We had the walleye, chicken strips, wet burrito, and appetizers. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back again!!

Not the typical bar and grill, food is off the charts wings *chefs kiss* I don't drink but the attentiveness and service was fast and polite. If I could give a 100 stars I would!

I’ve seen other reviews complain about the service, but I experienced excellent attention and prompt taking of orders and delivery of food and drink. I sat at the bar and the bar keep’s timing was perfect. She had another frosty beverage ready as I finished the last. The food was quite tasty. Home made wings with the Jamaican jerk rub were excellent. Appetizers were half price during happy hour from 3-6 so I spay tried the “Hot Balls” little cedar and jalapeño nuggets with ranch were a god compliment to the pound of wings. The only shortfall to me was the lack of local micro-brews. In their defense they did have four taps sporting micro brews, just none from the breweries in Whitehall or Montague. They did carry two brews from Bell’s (a Michigan staple) as well as an Alaska brewing company selection, and Yuengleng. All were good drafts. The local crowd was vibrant, friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be back to try the burgers and fish platters, and of course another pint or two.

Went there today for the first time. We got 1 pound of deep fried asparagus. It was amazing. Can't wait to go back.

We had a great lunch the other day at this establishment! We had the HotBalls appetizer (awesome) I had a mushroom and Swiss burger and my wife a vegetarian sandwich. The food took a bit to come from the kitchen, some staffing issues according to our server, but the food was awesome and well worth the wait. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great lunch!
